Luxembourg Art Week 2025 Expands Its Global Reach with Montréal in Focus

Luxembourg Art Week continues to grow in scale and reputation. The 11th edition of the contemporary art fair, taking place from 21 to 23 November 2025 on the Champ du Glacis, will feature 77 exhibitors from 15 countries, underscoring its steady international rise. This year’s spotlight will turn to the Montréal art scene, marking the event’s first transatlantic focus.

With participants from four continents and a record 83% of exhibitors coming from abroad, Luxembourg Art Week has established itself as a key meeting point for galleries, collectors, and institutions across Europe and beyond.

Three Sections, One Expanding Platform

The 2025 programme will be divided into three main sections:

  • The Main Section, bringing together 51 established galleries,

  • The Take Off Section, showcasing 22 emerging galleries, and

  • Focus Montréal, featuring four guest galleries from Canada’s cultural capital.

Montréal Spotlight

After highlighting Brussels in 2021 and Vienna in 2023, the fair now looks across the Atlantic. Four Montréal galleries—Art Mûr, Chiguer art contemporain, Duran Contemporain, and Galerie Bellemare Lambert—will offer visitors a glimpse into the diversity and creative energy of Québec’s largest city.

Regional Strength, Global Outlook

While the fair’s reach continues to widen, its organisers maintain a strong regional balance. Among the 77 exhibitors, 14 come from Luxembourg, alongside 21 from France, 17 from Belgium, and 12 from Germany. Other participants represent Ireland, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Lebanon, Morocco, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, and Canada.
This edition will welcome 21 first-time exhibitors, while 55 are returning participants—a sign of the fair’s growing loyalty base.

Institutional Engagement

Several Luxembourg and European institutions will contribute special projects to the fair. Artcontemporain.lu will present an exhibition focused on emerging local artists, while Konschthal Esch will display graphic works related to its current David Claerbout exhibition. Ensad Nancy, in partnership with the Institut français du Luxembourg, will showcase a student-led project. Galerie Go Art will present the 2025 Schlassgoart Sculpture Prize winner, and EKA Kunsthalle Trier will unveil a two-part photography display exploring themes of memory, territory, and the digital.
