For the second consecutive year—and following a lengthy absence—Luxembourg has secured a spot in the Eurovision Song Contest final. Singer Laura Thorn impressed with her performance of “La Poupée monte le Son”, earning her place in the grand finale.
Thursday’s semi-final, held in Basel, Switzerland, featured 16 countries competing for the last ten spots in the final scheduled for 17 May.
Earlier in the week, the first semi-final saw Sweden, Estonia, the Netherlands, Albania, Ukraine, Norway, San Marino, Iceland, Portugal, and Poland claim their spots.
Joining them from the second semi-final are: Armenia, Denmark, Israel, Austria, Finland, Malta, Lithuania, Greece, Latvia—and Luxembourg.
Unfortunately, Australia, the Czech Republic, Montenegro, Serbia, Ireland, and Georgia have been eliminated from the competition.
