Cocktail lovers and culture seekers have something special to look forward to this March in the heart of Luxembourg City. On Thursday, March 5, the elegant Le Trianon Cocktail Bar at the historic Grand Hotel Cravat will host an immersive evening celebrating premium gin and contemporary art.
From 5:00 PM onwards, guests are invited to discover a unique collaboration between Luxembourg-based spirits brand Tamar Gin and renowned local artist Sumo. The event blends tasting, storytelling and visual art into one refined after-work experience — ideal for visitors looking to explore the city’s creative side.
A Gin Tasting with a Personal Touch
Throughout the evening, four distinctive gins will be showcased: Tamar Gin, Crazy Monday Gin, Crazy Monday Barrel Aged Gin and Homard Gin. Founder and owner Sacha Olinger will personally present the collection, offering insights into the craftsmanship and character behind each bottle.
Guests can enjoy the spirits as expertly mixed gin and tonics or as specially crafted cocktails prepared by the bar team at Le Trianon. For those who discover a new favourite, bottles will also be available for purchase directly at the tasting stand.
Art Meets Atmosphere
Adding a cultural highlight to the evening, Sumo will unveil a selection of his works in a special vernissage hosted within the bar. Known for his bold and expressive style, the artist will be present at the beginning of the event to introduce his pieces and share the inspiration behind them. Early arrival is recommended for those wishing to meet him in person.
Gourmet Bar Bites
To complement the tastings, guests can order from a curated bar snack menu featuring the hotel’s popular Croque Cravat, fresh oysters and homemade Lobster Siu Mai, alongside a variety of other savoury bites — perfect pairings for an evening of fine gin.
